• Developing an Affordable Housing and Economic Development Committee to expand affordable housing and improve job opportunities for our community
  • Improving traffic safety by installing stop signs and/or speed bumps at Buena Vista Road
  • Continuing to support projects that strengthen our economy, such as the proposed Lowe’s which would create over 250 jobs
  • Encouraging more accessible and affordable health care for working families and senior citizens
  • Fighting the growing gang problem by working with the City of Hollister to identify at-risk youth and provide greater recreational activities to steer young people away from gangs
  • Incorporating an economic development element in the General Plan for San Benito County to help create the most positive environment for current and new businesses
  • Increasing citizen participation in local government by bringing government to the community through town hall meetings, a web site, and lunch seminars
