- Developing an Affordable Housing and Economic Development Committee to expand affordable housing and improve job opportunities for our community

- Improving traffic safety by installing stop signs and/or speed bumps at Buena Vista Road

- Continuing to support projects that strengthen our economy, such as the proposed Lowe’s which would create over 250 jobs

- Encouraging more accessible and affordable health care for working families and senior citizens

- Fighting the growing gang problem by working with the City of Hollister to identify at-risk youth and provide greater recreational
activities to steer young people away from gangs

- Incorporating an economic development element in the General Plan for San
Benito County to help create the most positive environment for current and
new businesses
|
- Increasing citizen participation in local government by bringing government
to the community through town hall meetings, a web site, and lunch
seminars
